Girl Face GlowingWe can use the best creams, the best tonics, masks and luxury treatments. But when it comes to keeping skin healthy, beautiful and young, food is our best ally or our worst enemy.

It is no secret to anyone that the way we eat influences how we see and feel. There are foods recommended by dermatologists and health professionals in general who contribute by improving the skin, keeping it smoother, hydrated, helping us to fight against early wrinkles, pigmentation, eczema, psoriasis, acne and skin problems in general.

1.ALMONDSalmonds

Almonds help reduce inflammation, can help minimize skin swelling or rashes. Almonds are rich in antioxidants which fight premature aging.

Research published in the Journal of Proteome Research reported that consuming almonds and in general nuts significantly reduces oxidative stress.

Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E which is responsible for protecting cell membranes from oxidative damage. Not only provide benefits to the skin also many studies indicate that they help control blood sugar, prevent heart problems, Alzheimer’s, blood pressure problems and reduce cholesterol. Being rich in fiber, protein and low in carbohydrates are a great alternative if you want to lower measures or you are an athlete.

2.NATURAL YOGURT

Natural yogurt contains probiotics that have been shown to help protect the skin from problems such as eczema and acne. Natural yogurt is rich in nutrients, proteins and vitamins that help maintain healthy skin and is low in sugar and carbohydrates.

But there may also be a love hate relationship, since there are people whose main cause of acne is from dairy consumption; mainly when you have a food intolerance. It would be best to avoid milk, cheese, and dairy with high-fat content; It is also recommended to identify if there is an improvement with the natural yogurt or it is better to say goodbye to the dairy.

3.GREEN TEApeppermint tea

The polyphenols found in tea contribute to protecting from the damage caused by the sun’s UV rays. It is also rich in antioxidant catechins that help reduce premature aging of the skin. It can also help to reduce inflammation of the red and sensitive skin and can improve psoriasis, general scaling, and acne.

A study by Dr. Stephen Hsu of the Georgia Medical Center found that green tea helps rejuvenate cells that are already in their final cycle.

4.GRAPEFRUIT

Grapefruit helps to soften the skin, its high content of vitamin C compared to other fruits makes it ideal for the production of collagen. It also has a low glycemic index thus keeps the sugar levels stable, slows down the aging process and hence the collagen stays better.

5.FLAXSEED

It is good to include flaxseed and flaxseed oil in our diet. Flaxseed provides omega 3 which helps us fight problems such as acne and also inflammations. Flaxseed can help treat other skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis. In addition flaxseed is also rich in fiber which helps keep the intestinal tract clean and this is good for maintaining overall health.

6.AVOCADO

Helps maintain cell membranes by their contribution of monounsatiradas fats. This makes the skin soft, hydrated, smooth, supple and healthy. It also protects the skin from damage by helping in the repair. They contain fiber and essential proteins that aid in regeneration.

7.TOFU

There are many people who suffer from sun spots and pigmentation of the skin. Foods rich in soy can be a great alternative to prevent this type of problems to a large extent. Foods such as miso, tempeh, tofu are rich in soy which contains isoflavones that help to strengthen cellular metabolism. This helps the skin look healthier and more uniform in color.

8.THE CHOCOLATE

Many of us suffer when we eat chocolates. The point is that for the skin a chocolate made with good quality cocoa is a great help, since it improves hydration, texture and thickness. It contributes by preventing the loss of water, improves circulation and the absorption of nutrients. The flavanols of cocoa are what help us with all this. It is important to keep in mind that with a little chocolate a day or three times a week is more than enough, it is also not recommended to exaggerate. Commercial chocolates are not recommended, as they contain more sugar than chocolate in addition to preservatives. The recommended is to consume pure chocolate of good quality.
