The lack of energy in our body not only makes us feel tired but, most of the time noticeably decreases our productivity.
This produces a feeling of physical and mental weakness that, in turn, leads to states of anxiety, stress, and fatigue.
Most troubling is that, because it is so common, many downplay it and do not take the necessary steps to prevent it from becoming something recurring.
While at the moment you can temporarily get energy from an energy drink but it has side effects, and it is necessary to adopt some healthy habits to avoid it altogether.
For this reason, here are 4 simple things that everyone can do every day to keep the body active and recharged.
1. Stretching Exercises
Stretching exercises, especially when getting up, help improve circulation so that oxygen is transported smoothly through it.
Although we usually ignore it, the tiredness we feel in the mornings can be caused by the difficulties that the circulation undergoes due to poor postures in sleep.
Stretch your limbs for 15 seconds, before getting out of bed.
Raise your arms and try to stretch your fingers as much as possible.
Do the same exercise with your legs and feet.Finish by stretching the neck and back.
2. Take a Glass of Water
A measure as simple as drinking a glass of water on an empty stomach can help recharge the body to function in optimum conditions throughout the day.
This precious liquid rehydrates the body after a night in a fasting state and, by the way, promotes the reactivation of circulation.
Take a glass of warm water, right after you wake up.
If you like, add a little lemon juice to boost your benefits.
3. Take a Cold Shower
Hot showers are relaxing and can help us manage stress after a long day at work. However, if the idea is to have a more productive and energetic day, it is best to start the day with a shower with cold water unless it’s very cold weather.
Low temperature helps to stimulate circulation throughout the body while improving the oxygenation process to gain benefits both physically and mentally.
If you’re not used to cold water, start by lowering the temperature little by little, until your body adapts.
4. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Breakfast plays a very important role in releasing energy to the body and nourish the cells. As per Ayurveda we should take a heavy breakfast and a light dinner to keep our body in optimal energetic level.
Being the first main meal of the day makes it crucial to nourish the cells and maintain a high energy level.
Ignoring it can decompensate the body and, little by little, cause alterations in the functions of the nervous system.
In addition, as the body uses the energy reserves its, cells and neurons can be affected.
5. Take Short Naps
About 85% of animal species sleep for short periods in the day. It is very healthy to take a short nap once a day to keep our body healthy. Short naps can be from 10 minutes to 45 minutes.
