Acne usually manifests as comedones (pimples or blackheads), or cysts on the face, back and chest. It is a skin infection caused by changes in the sebaceous glands, which causes blockage and inflammation of the pores of the skin. This results in superficial skin rashes.
Acne is more common in teenagers, but anyone can suffer from acne, including babies. It usually goes away after adolescence. However, acne can affect some individuals as adults.
In general, people have the tendency to squeeze these pimples to make them disappear but often results in scarring. Acne not only affects the face but also affects the mood of the people, as it gives rise to negative self-esteem and can even cause depression.
Acne treatment is designed to prevent the formation of new lesions and help cure existing ones. Dermatologists may prescribe topical agents or oral medications to treat acne. However, there are home treatments that can be very effective and without side effects.

1. Reduce Pitta Foods

2.Baking Soda
Sodium bicarbonate or baking soda opens the pores and removes dead cells. It also helps to regulate the pH imbalance of the skin and has mild anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. All these features make it an excellent home remedy for acne/ pimple cleansing.
You can mix two tablespoons of baking soda, one teaspoon of cinnamon powder, half a lemon juice, and five tablespoons of honey. Apply to face and wash after 5 minutes. You can also prepare a paste with one or two teaspoons of baking soda and a little water. Again, rinse after five minutes. This process can be applied a couple of times a week.
2.Papaya Milk
Papaya is a useful ingredient found in a lot of beauty products. Papaya is an entirely natural pimple remedy that removes dead cells and excess lipids from the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. Papaya contains papain, which an enzyme that reduces inflammation and helps prevent the formation of pus.
Rinse face with water and dry. Shred the pulp of the papaya, until it can be applied easily to the skin. Leave on for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with warm water. If you have dry skin then, use a moisturizer suitable for your skin type, after using this mask.
3.Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar eliminates the bacteria that could be causing all the problems and also balances the pH of the skin, which in turn makes it more difficult for the bacteria to proliferate.
Wash your face thoroughly with water and dry it. Mix in a ratio of 1: 3, vinegar and water. Wet a cotton swab with this liquid and apply directly to the lesions. Leave on for at least 10 minutes or overnight. Reapply several times a day, thoroughly washing the face after each application.
4.Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C, which is good for all skin types and is a citric acid, so it helps to remove dead cells from the skin. As an astringent, it causes tissue contraction causing the lesions to dry.
Rub a slice of lemon on the affected face area and leave it for a few hours. Rinse the face thoroughly with water. You can also add natural rose water in equal amounts if you find lemon harsh on your face, and use the solution to wash the affected areas.
5.Tea Tree Oil (Melalueca Artenifolia)
Tea tree essential oil’s antibacterial properties also help eliminate the bacteria that cause acne and prevent future outbreaks. This oil, unlike the vast majority of essential oils, can be applied directly to the skin without the need to dilute it before use.
Simply apply one drop of tea tree oil to the affected area three times a day.
6.Orange Peel
As pimple is caused by bacteria, excess sebum and dead cells that clog the pores of the skin. Pimple/ Acne can be reduced with the use of an orange face mask because it contains vitamin C, citric acid and astringent. Vitamin C is particularly useful as it promotes the growth of healthy new cells and keeps the skin in good condition.
Put the orange peels in the sun and let them dry completely. Grind them (you can use a blender, mortar, or any other method that does the job) and add some water to create a paste. Once it has the proper consistency, apply it to the entire face or problem areas. Wait 20 to 25 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water. Finally, apply a moisturizer.
7.Green Tea
There have been some very promising recent studies (2011, 2012, Journal of Investigative Dermatology) which show that green tea can have a noticeable impact on acne when used externally. To briefly summarize the results, there is an antioxidant in green tea called epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG. EGCG has been shown to reduce the production of sebum, inflammation, and growth of bacteria in the skin – basically the main causes behind acne outbreaks.
Place 2 teaspoons of loose tea leaves or 1 bag of green tea in a clean bowl and pour 1 cup of boiling water. Let it stand for 4-5 minutes before brewing and cool the liquid to a comfortable temperature and then apply.
8.Banana Peel
Bananas are full of all kinds of goodness, even those parts we do not usually eat. Their shells contain lutein, a potent antioxidant that reduces swelling and inflammation and stimulates the growth of healthy cells. So rubbing a banana peel on the face can reduce acne. Peel the banana and eat it! Take the peel and rub, with circular movements, all over the face. When you have covered the entire face, allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing.
9.Honey and Cinnamon
Honey is sticky and cinnamon is spicy; Two things that most people would avoid putting on their skin. Surprisingly, and although it may seem strange, honey and cinnamon make (literally) a killer combo when it comes to Pimples. Cinnamon has antimicrobial properties, which can help prevent the proliferation of bacteria from getting out of hand. And honey is a natural antibiotic, which can help to deflate the skin reddened by pimples and pimples.
Mix well 2 tablespoons honey and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until it has formed a homogenous paste. Apply on face or other problem areas and leave on for 10-15 minutes. As this is a fairly sticky mixture, it is a good idea to do this treatment before taking a shower. It will be easier to remove the mask while bathing.
10.Honey and Milk (or yogurt)
Milk/ Yogurt & Honey can improve acne breakouts and skin tone. The reason is that it soothes irritated skin and helps to reduce redness. The acids it contains are antibacterial, while the fat provides moisture, making it very nutritious for the skin.
Let the yogurt or milk reach room temperature. Mix 1 tablespoon milk or yogurt with 1 tablespoon honey. You can apply the mixture with a cotton pad or with a thick brush. Allow each layer to dry before adding a new one, until the mask has the desired thickness. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash your face and use a small towel to rub gently and with circular movements to get rid of the dead cards. Once you are done, hydrate your skin as usual.
Finally Remember
A pimple is not caused by lack of hygiene. Over-washing or cleaning with soaps or strong chemicals can actually irritate the skin and make the condition worse. Excess facial cleansing can dry out the skin, which then tries to compensate for dryness by producing much more sebum. A simple cleaning to get rid of excess fat and dead cells is all that is needed.
